Spring? Although we are still buried under a pile of icy snow I can see the tulips poking through. I hope they survive this unusually cold April. I wanted to make something cheerful and bright. I was thinking about chalk painted Mason jars and colourful flowers. I went through my stamp set and found this set from Close to my Heart.
I looked through my scraps and found a small piece of Tim Holtz paper from a Christmas pack I had bought and decided to combine with Blue Lagoon by Stampin up as a base.
I Stamped the vase on white and craft cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers.
I outlined in beige around the image. I highlighted the white image and cut it out and edged it with black. I cut wood paper and then I glued it on to the craft image and traced the black stem into the white edge.
Adding some highlights with a white pen and a little wink of Stella here and there really brought it to life. I sponged the edges with Chocolate chip ink and stuck it all on the 4.25×5.5 base and added Thank you in versa mark from a Stampin’ up set.
This completed my card. I made a few versions of it and will include a couple photos. Thank you for the view! I will come back and link to the video when it’s complete.
