Hubby’s Birthday Card

So today I’d like to share the Birthday card I made for my darling husband.

He’s a busy guy(you can check him out on his YouTube channel Roomies Garage) and uses many tools so I thought what better than a tool box.

So I was planning a larger card and a different color base but as I got going I realized it was too much the same. So I went with a top folding card in Marina Mist by Stampin up card stock 4.25 x 11 inches, the next black layer is 4 x 5.25, next is a die cut rectangle and them my die cut drawers are made from regular tinfoil folded in half and embossed with a folder.

I then used my puncture tool to make two holes in each drawer. I had first marked with pen and added some Brad’s to look like handles.

From here I stamped a couple of tools in Memento Tuxedo black and coloured the tops with gray Copic markers and the bottom with Stampin ups Marina Mist and a blend pen to math the card stock.

I proceeded to cut them out and put black around the edges. This is an important step it really makes a difference in how your project will look.

I placed them where I wanted them and cut them accordingly. I glued them in place and added a touch of both white gel pen and Wink of Stella for sparkle.

Now with the outside of my card complete I went to work inside. I stamped the quality since stamp but didn’t ink the numbers and then filled them in my self with his birth year.

I then went to stamp Bonne Fete Papa (my kids call Dad Papa) and it dropped landing crooked 😌 So I added a ruler with Versa mark on an angle also so it work look possibly meant to be. 😂

I’m sure he will appreciate the effort.

So that concludes my post. You can check out my video on YouTube at link to come. Thank you so much for stopping by love to hear your feedback.
