So I’m using this stamp set again from Hampton Art Ai Expressions Golden Oldies. I just love this set and there are so many possibilities with these cartoon like characters.
I decided to use to use the nurse and the man on the table. So I cut a piece of Whisper white card stock by Stampin up to 4×11 and went to work. I used my homemade stamping tool to position the stamps in the desired area and stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I began coloring their skin first with three Copic markers. I used the medium shade, went to light and then shaded with the darker of the three. I went back in and blended the colors with the medium. I’m just learning Copic marker coloring and I absolutely love it. They add so much depth and vibrancy to a project.
So when I had the skin the way I wanted I added some red to her lips a bit of blue to her lids and a pale pink to their cheeks. I also added the pink to his forehead to really give him a blushed look.
From here I began to work on the hospital gown I used only two colors, began with the lightest and shaded with the dark. I then blended with the light. I did the same thing on her uniform using the same light colour but a different shade of dark.
So from here I went in with two grays and a colourless blender.
I filled in his socks with red and her hair with two shades of brown.
At this point I felt it needed a little something so I pulled out my silver Stickles. Adding a little glitter made my project come alive. It doesn’t show well on camera though.
I selected the Get well Now sentiment and stamped in in Stazon Black solvent ink. I decided to cut my project down a little on each side and add a red background, first sponging Stampin up Basic Gray around the edges. I placed this on my card base and went to work on the inside.
I stamped the Happy Pills with Memento Tuxedo black and colored with copic markers. I added the sentiment Hope you’ll soon be fully re-covered with Stazon Black.
That’s my finished project. I hope you enjoyed and thank you so much for visiting my Blog enjoy your day!
